Occupy Reminder: Why we occupy

I was waiting for the city bus when a school bus rolled up and let out a gaggle of elementary school children. I have no children myself nor do I really plan on any, but my friend's do, and their children mean the world to me, as do the worlds, I couldn't help but smile and shake my head, a tear swelling, this is why I occupy, our nation's future

2. That reminded me of a paragraph from Osamu Dazai

It is from the novel The Setting Sunwhich is set in Japan following WWII, when the old aristocratic order was disintigrating. The antagonist, Kazuko, has lost her brother to suicide after having witnessed unspeakable horror in the war, to her mother, and to her whole world, but she is a survivor as well as a "victim of a transitional period of morality." At the end she is pregnant and writes this in a letter to the father of her baby:

...I have come to understand why such things as war, peace, unions, trade, politics exist in the world. I don't suppose you know. That's why you will always be unhappy. I'll tell you why -- it is so that women will give birth to healthy babies
