Local GOP sends email with image of bullet hole in President Obama's head
It is unbelievable and disgusting beyond belief. Here's a link to the image on the local blog that broke the story. BTW, this is a Republican blog that does a good job of denouncing the extremists...and we have a bunch of them here...national figures that live in Loudoun County (near Dulles airport) and work in DC.

1. Didn't look.....
But if what you say is true, that's something that needs to be reported to the SS, if it hasn't already.

6. I'm sure it will be if it hasn't been already
The WaPo has already picked up the story, as have other media outlets.

9. This blog deserves a lot of credit
It's often hard to speak out...and the blogger "Loudoun Insider" gets a lot of grief for what he exposes.

3. Well, they've been reported to the FBI.
Everyone should do it:

4. I think they should be reported to the FBI.
Or the Secret Service.

That is really reprehensible.

:(

BTW, the site is down, due to traffic...

14. May be covered as free speech via satire but deserves a visit from the FBI, anyway.
Just...a nice little reminder that America doesn't need any more fucking assassinations.

BTW, still fuck Hillary Clinton for bringing up the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vyFqmp4wzI&feature=fvst">possible assassination of then candidate Obama as a reason for staying in the race. Olbermann put it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLNFsl130_Y">best.

Un-fucking real.

8. “The Republican Party of Virginia condemns the image and its use in the strongest possible terms.”
UPDATE: RPV condemns the photo, story at WaPo Virginia Politics blog.

“The disgusting image used today on a mass e-mail has no place in our politics. Ever,’’ said Pat Mullins, chairman of the state party. “The Republican Party of Virginia condemns the image and its use in the strongest possible terms.”

10. Update: GOP leader issues non-apology; says it was "satire"
Here's a typical non-apology apology -- basically saying sorry if anyone was offended or interpreted the image wrong. Not saying of course that the image itself was wrong.

"In a statement, LCRC Chairman Mark Sell said the committee sent an email to members "that represented a light-hearted attempt to inject satire humor into the Halloween holiday. "
"Apparently, some individuals have interpreted an image of Barack Obama that appeared within the email as intending to portray the President as a victim of a violent crime. Nothing could be further from the truth, and we deeply and sincerely apologize to the President and anyone who viewed the image if that was the impression that was left," Sell's statement continued. "The LCRC deplores any effort to display, suggest or promote violence against the President or any other political figure.""

11. Pleased to see these statements./comments therein. Live in MD,
may return to DC, but good to see Northern Virginian repugs have SOME sense:

By Loudoun Insider
This cartoon montage just arrived as part of an LCRC email blast. I am no fan of Barack Obama, but putting up a photo of him as a zombie with a bullet hole in his head???????????? Like him or not he is the legitimately elected the President of the United States and Commander in Chief of our armed services in a time of war. THIS IS DISGUSTING AND SHAMEFUL. Someone should send this to the US Secret Service.

What good is the stupid "patriot act" if we don't use it when it applies?

16. The Republican party is filled with the most horrible, selfish, hateful people.
Who all consider themselves good Christians.

I just don't get it, how such losers can take over this country the way they have.

I remain boggled to the core, seeds and all.
