#Occupy Denver pictures of the first camp before and after it was "removed"...
The first image on the shoot. This is the night the camp was told they would have to take down their tents. They still had their tents up at about 6:00PM Denver and the State Patrol eventually had to forcefully remove them.

At this time the protesters had finished with most of the protesting, and their signs littered the camp, some attached to trees and some strewn across the ground. This one was attached to a tree:

Their main banner:

This sign, weathered and worn, was in the ground with a neat little metal support holding it up:

As was this one:

This was at the northern side of the camp looking southeast:

This man was one of three or four people still holding signs along the curb of Lincoln Park on the Broadway side:

One of the signs abandoned at the time I arrived:

Their medical tent:

This appeared to be a kitchen, "Thunderdome..."

One of the signs along the small stone wall near the edge of the camp:

The call went out for able-bodied persons to help clear the camp of wood which could be used as weapons. One might take this to be a sign of their commitment to peace:

Looking northeast from a point in the southern half of Lincoln park.

Looking to the east:

East/slightly southeast:

Southeast:

Here, a message written in chalk, one of many along the sidewalk near the Broadway side of Lincoln park:

After:
The gloomy morning after the camp was removed by force. These police cars are from the State. Now they occupied that park, and protesters were forced across the street to the sidewalk.

A man approached me and offered to pose with his sign:

The curb was #occupied by very few at this time in the morning:

Looking north the other way were sleeping bags, but I did not feel it appropriate to photograph the near-dead without their implicit permission.

So much has changed from these pictures, the leaves on the trees have oranged up and many have fallen.
