Paterno and his cohorts had a choice.
The choice: protect young boys from rape, or protect the football program from scandal. They choice the Penn state football program. They all need to go.

A winning decade for the team on the backs of the boys who will spend a lifetime overcoming their assaults.

4. I was listening to Michael Smerconish talk about this today (he is from Pennsylvania)

Disgusting story all around. Clearly, there was far more that could have (SHOULD HAVE) been done when it was first discovered and everybody knew about it and/or helped cover it up needs to be exposed and thrown out of the University (if not prosecuted for their actions/inaction). It's also quite Weird about the DA who went missing around the same time, particularly after having apparently been trying to destroy his hard drive (from his notebook?). Seems VERY suspicious to me and makes me wonder if he had some kind of connection to the situation.

:puke:

5. Rich and powerful child molesters. Anybody remember the 1989 Bush WH Teen "prostitute" scandal?

Some of the bastards were taking their under age "prostitutes" into the White-house itself.

Here is the front page of the June 28,1989 Washington times:

Amazing how this stuff falls into the memory hole....

11. It wasn't the program they protected, it's the 50 million a year
it generates. And of course as always, you short term save it, but long term cost the program so much more. This isn't about football, it is about a huge economic machine.

12. Thats it exactly. He did a cost/benefit analysis.
And decided the cost to those boys was worth the benefit to...the school, the program, his career, his future, their pocketbooks.
