So when does law enforcement start attacking Tea Party rallies?
I'm just asking... since we're all equal under the law and everything.

1. Well, they only hang around for a few hours, there are only a few dozen of them,
they don't bring tents (but they do bring snacks and chairs), and they get permits.

That's the big difference.

If everyone organizing a protest did that, they'd get that "equal treatment" you're talking about.

If the Teapartiers decided to camp out in town, they'd get the same guff.

3. When Tea Party rallies start occupying
The Tea Baggers were scrupulous about following the law, OWS has intentionally flouted local regulations, citing the 1st Amendment as over riding any local restrictions.

I recall reading that a Tea Bagger group was complaining to a municipality that if OWS got to use a particular park for free, that they wanted their money back.

4. This Was Discussed on another thread ...
... but a couple of cynics feel only libs should be attacked by cops and feds.

By contrast, Tea Baggers and others will never be hassled because they were armed. This was also true of armed Black Panthers in Houston:

Note how the police stand back - FAR back. And notice the fear in the field reporter who was nervous as a mouse cornered by an alley cat.

As Jefferson said, "When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."

When OWS learns that truth, that's when the cops will stop hassling them.

Health-reform rally heckler says he's sorry and scared
The man who berated and tossed dollar bills at a man with Parkinson's disease during a health care protest last week says he is remorseful and scared.

"I snapped. I absolutely snapped and I can't explain it any other way," said Chris Reichert of Victorian Village, in a Dispatch interview.

Found more with police, just search on you tube for police tea party :)
