We lost Christiane.
Her feed broke down. However, the show was great to that point.

The conversation with El Baradei was transcendent. It brought tears
to my eyes. I love El Baradei.

This is not an extremist, Islamist revolution. It's a groundswell of the
young people who want hope and a better world.

That is it. Mubarak needs to leave now!

1. I believe he would usher in a new more democratic Egypt.
He has been utterly trustworthy to date.

4. I think El Baradei would be a great leader!
As Captain Picard would say:

Make it so.

2. "Muslim or Christian, we are all Egyptian"
The protesters were chanting this....the young people of Egypt want a free, secular country. Nothing religious or extremist about it.

5. Here's a great article on El Baradei
Edited on Sun Jan-30-11 11:00 AM by ananda
http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2011/01/28/f-profile-mohamed-elbaradei.html

"He led a team of UN weapons inspectors in Iraq.

Their report — released after the war was well underway — found that Iraqi strongman Saddam Hussein had no cache of nuclear weapons and posed no real military threat on that front.

At the time, the Bush administration did its best to try to discredit ElBaradei. It also tried to block his re-election as director general of the IAEA in 2005.

But he won a third term and, later that year, he and the IAEA were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize."

6. Jesus
scary title. Without her we'd be left with only David, Candy, Bob, and Wallace. Yuck.

7. I only watch CNN when MSNBC cancels the news
Friday evening MSNBC starts prison shows because things only happen Monday thru Friday, days and evenings.

I see some of those names and it makes me shudder. When will Amy Goodman and Laura Flanders bump some of those gameshow host hairdo's?
