Americans no longer have a hold on the Truth or Reality.
Like they did when 'YOU' grew up and had the Soviets as your
enemy. Nor that time you experienced total racism in the South
and protested it, that War in Vietnam, Woman's rights....etc.

As a nation now its sad.

The rest of the world used to admire us and emulate us.....

NO MORE.... at least until the next Hollywood blockbuster.

Believe me... I'm watching a Car Crash with many dying,
blood on the guy next to you, with a head injury, a chance of dying........But most inside this accident are too shock
to know .

What is really happening.

Democracy is a dead cow worshiped by the peons and promoted
by your Aristocracy ....

I guess ...... We need to vote on this.....LOL

2. No... at one time we did have that edge over the Soviets
when the world was given a choice.

Our Free Press at that time opened the wounds that exposed
the guts of Freedom in all its gore.

The US press is dead..... hell... half of the good articles now come out of England and the Guardian now.

Europeans loved our Free Press but now think its

TOTALLY CORRUPTED.

4. Prostitution - "base or unworthy use, as of talent or ability,"
Our media is almost totally reduced itself to whore-dom. How dangerous for us and sad for them.

3. Welcome to reality where you stop believing in the American myth
where the streets are paved with gold and everyone has a equal chance at untold wealth. Sorry but this country has never been equal on anything, justice, employment and wealth have all been unequal to those that weren't lucky enough to be born in the right family or with the right skin tone or any other thing that could put you in a minority.

5. The day you stop believing the American myths, is the day that
you might be ready to help resuscitate your beloved Country, with all it's faults. nt

7. That ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL
and not money....

Let me tell you...... The freedom of the press
is a big one to most Europeans that they didn't have that
and it was a guiding light to most nations on the road they most
follow.

The religion thing was another big one for them.

6. as the other folks pointed out americans never did have any grasp of truth or reality

i don't know where you grew up, but i remember the soviet era just fine, and the MAJORITY of people in the south, and i mean THE OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of people were die-hard racists, bigots, and haters

a major issue of the 1960s, forgotten now, was young men growing their hair out -- these folks would be mercilessly hunted down and beaten, i'm not kidding you, they were considered to a threat to america BECAUSE OF A HAIR STYLE

if you didn't think it OK to beat people up or even kill them over the color of their skin or a hair style, you had better be prepared to bite your tongue most places you went, because your point of view put you in danger of being thought a commie -- i was in fact labeled a "commie" and some kind of wild-eyed red myself, and i'm a perfectly moderate person if you ask me but somehow my views that let's not judge based on skin/hair were considered absolutely insane and dangerous

if you think this a joke, all i can tell you is, ask ANYONE who lived in the american south in the 1960s

if you think there was EVER a day when MOST people saw reality, instead of illusion, i think you haven't had much experience of human nature

as for "free press" it was a joke, the corporate press was mostly pumping up the anti-communist, capitalist bandwagon, sure, some college kid could put out an opposing point of view on a mimeograph and hand it out at the health food store but let's get real

8. I grew up in the South and it sucked
but those things were exposed by our press
for all the world to see...... and they did see it.

The Water Hoses, the dogs, the beatings and hangings.

The poverty now is on information getting out.

10. Even up here in the north there were incidents like the south, some northern towns
you faced the dull razor head shave if you had long hair, buddy of mine once got 3 days for wearing a jean jacket with an American flag sewed on the back, the police kept the jacket after he was freed from jail.

11. I went through Provo Utah in the late 60s from Colorado to Calif.
They wanted to kill me and my brothers ......
BECAUSE WE WERE NOT THEIR KIND.......

The Sheriff's jeep tried to run us off a bridge out of town
where the sign said.............80 miles to the next gas.

We went to court that night, my brother a lawyer got
the local judge out of a party ....... he had short hair.
I was a Surfer and my other brother was a hipee.

But the long hair was enough.... to not even be able to pay for gas without a fight.

Listen ....... I have stories about Florida that will curl you bones.

The point is..........
NOW..........
