'Murphy Brown' Could Make Comeback if Sarah Palin Runs
'Murphy Brown' Could Make Comeback if Sarah Palin Runs
The popular TV series about a TV news reporter specialized in skewering politicians, like Dan Quayle

Could Sarah Palin be the next Dan Quayle and face the wrath and ridicule of one of TV’s most famous characters?

The creator of the sitcom “Murphy Brown,” which became a hit by mocking politicians, appears eager to apply her brand of political satire to the former Alaska governor, who many believe will make a bid for the White House in 2012.

“If Sarah Palin runs,” said producer Diane English, “I’m going to ask CBS to bring us back.”

English made the remark, which drew wildly enthusiastic applause, on Wednesday night at San Francisco’s Sketchfest, a comedy festival. She appeared on stage at the Castro Theater in conversation with the sitcom’s former star, Candice Bergen.

Her married name, after wedding the Duchess of Liverspots and raising 17 adopted children with two moms.

They grow and sell medical marijuana in San Francisco above their shelter for homeless animals rescued from slaughterhouses.

This stuff writes itself.

7. I forgot the "Young Turks" style web cast from the loft
To give her a reason to address relevant issues without strict censorship.

11. That would definitely be a major requirement, especially nowadays. Funny, but if
if CBS didn't grab it up, the Faux network probably would. :hi:

Let us pray to the Universe that you never have that job. :scared::evilgrin:

4. Andrea (Greenspan) Mitchell and Candice Bergen were born in the same year
so having Murphy still in broadcasting isn't really out of line

8. I still enjoy the Murphy Brown re-runs when I catch them.
It was a great show, and they really did get under Dan Quayle's skin.

9. Too bad the music licensing is keeping all the other seasons off of DVD.
I'm surprised they even got the first season out.
