UPI - "Log Cabin Republicans endorse McCain" - Remember The Praise Of Log Cabin Republicans?
This just illustrates the power of the corporate media. Even on DU, some members were loudly praising the efforts of the Log Cabin Republicans to repeal DADT while denigrating the efforts of the White House and congressional Democrats to make this happen. Even now, you see GOP Psy-Ops trying to minimize the efforts and support of the White House and Congressional Democrats to make this hard fought victory happen. The fact of the matter is that Democrats have fought for gay rights.

In sharp contrast, what did the log cabin Republicans get for their endorsement of John McCain and Sarah Palin?

http://www.upi.com/Top_News/2008/09/03/Log-Cabin-Republicans-endorse-McCain/UPI-20521220439614/

ST. PAUL, Minn., Sept. 3 (UPI) -- A group of gay men and women say they have endorsed U.S. Sen. John McCain as their nominee for U.S. president because he is an "inclusive Republican."

The Log Cabin Republicans endorsed McCain, R-Ariz., Tuesday at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn., CNN reported.

"He's a very inclusive Republican, a different type of Republican," said the group's president Patrick Sammon. "At the same time, we have honest disagreements on some issues."

While McCain opposes same-sex marriage, he also opposed a federal constitutional amendment that would have defined marriage as being between a man and a woman.

2. The intersection of LCR and Thought is so empty even a yield sign would be overkill.

I watched McBush try to equate the loss of limbs to DADT on cspan today and the mind just boggled. I hope some of these idjets caught that clip...

7. They are still on the forefront of the Prop-8 appeal process, no?
Or was it the MA marriage tax case? I know both are going through the channels right now, but uncertain of the current players with standing.

8. They have been very vocal on prop 8 as well

I don't get the LCR's basic appeal, joining a group (Republicans) that basically hate who you are, but nevertheless I don't think it's appropriate to bash them today, as the OP wants to!

10. No, they're not involved in either as far as I know.
Prop 8 is being done by Boies and Olson, the MA case is being handled by the MA AG.

4. They should be wondering why they are republicans, since they work tirelessly to
defeat all gay legislation.

15. Like "Latinos For Reform" I Think Log Cabin Republicans Mostly Exist To Attack Democrats...
...from the left. Here is the Log Cabin Republicans website, and there is no mention of the biggest vote on the issue of DADT ever! Heck, the Log Cabin Republicans do not even urge Republicans to vote for repeal!

http://www.logcabin.org/site/c.nsKSL7PMLpF/b.5468093/k.BE4C/Home.htm

This is becoming increasingly common as Republicans fund groups decide to erode support for Democrats from the left. Another example is "Latinos for Reform," which became known for trying to convince Hispanics NOT TO VOTE in the 2010 election for Democrats in order to hold them accountable:

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/1010/AntiReid_group_to_Hispanic_voters_Dont_Vote.html

In other words, Republican and Chamber of Commerce funded groups are getting more sophisticated in trying to erode support for Democrats, which includes creating front groups to attack Democrats from the "left" while giving Republicans a free pass.

12. "Cows for Ruth's Chris Steakhouse" is more believable
McCain is as "inclusive" as a KKK "Grand Dragon".
