Congratulations Packers. Can we stop now?
Let's take all this back up in September.

Six months without football is fine. And I like football.

But it's time.

5. Pitchers and catchers.
Then March Madness.

Then the NBA playoffs and the NHL playoffs.

Yeah, I'm screwed. I'm hooked. Who am I kidding anymore?

:)

I'll take a day off from sports maybe tomorrow.

22. I guess it's all relative.
As a former baseball player who aspired to baseball greatness, I sit on the edge of my seat with every pitch.

37. Close tie with Golf, IMO.
Now if golfers would occasionally lose control of their carts, ala NASCAR driver, well then we'd have something worth watching.

:P

9. Yeah. People act like football is life.
Football sucks. It matters not to anyone other than those who play the game on who wins or who doesn't win. The Packers winning doesn't affect my life one bit, nor yours, or your next door neightbor's, your grandma's, or your boss's life.

19. Football is more important than the inane blathering of jerkoff TV news pundits
Yet folks make tons of posts each day at DU about the latter.

A lot of us enjoy spending a few hours each week kicking back and soaking up a game. Fun is important. Football may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's stupid to begrudge those of us who do enjoy it.

Edited on Sun Feb-06-11 11:07 PM by Lucian
health insurance, a good job, or a house instead, eh?

I should just shut my mouth and worship those who get paid millions to play a sport that matters not to anyone. Hey, maybe I should go play for one of those teams, break the law, and get away with a slap on the wrist, huh?
