Oh the outrage! I think we may be on the verge of a revolution.
Of course, it's all because some skinny girl flubbed some lines in a song sung at one of the most over-blown spectacles known to man. Apparently someone forgot to tell her our National Anthem is sacred and there is only one way to sing the song. If I hear one more person show more concern for how a song is sung rather than demonstrate concern for the nation and the people it supposedly represents, I am going to vomit. Concretizing symbols is a pet peeve of mine. Then again, I started the day in an irritable mood so that could have something to do with it.

5. I actually didn't watch it. My husband called me in once in awhile...
to show me a couple of the commercials. The Darth Vader kid / car commercial was cute, but other than that I found the book I was reading much funnier and far more gripping.

4. Thank you. As one of those who is affected by the cuts the president so callously makes, I find
your words to be supportive.

I've given up believing that "progressives" will ever be able to actually care about those of us on the bottom of the ladder. You are right.... so many other little things take priority.

Thank you.

6. You know, you are right.
At first, I was of the belief, that if a person who gets paid ungodly amounts of money to sing the national anthem at the superbowl then fucks it up, should be called out on it.

But then I thought, fuck it. We get all bent out of shape over this bullshit, but we just collectively as a nation, shrug our shoulders at war criminals skating away from prosecution.

flubbing the national anthem is the least of our worries and I'm sure the singer feels embarrassed.

that's enough punishment unto itself.

Besides, I prefer "This land is your land" or "America the Beautiful" instead. ;)
