2. Last in his class, reckless aviator, tireless worker on behalf of the racketeerer Charles Keating
All around dickhead. Happy to know that he'll be remembered as a political loser in his efforts to keep homophobia alive. What a maverick.

3. John McCain.
To be known in history as

1) A guy that got brutally beaten as a POW, then embraced his chief tormentor while humiliating the sister of a MIA during a broadcast congressional hearing.
2) One of a handful of senators that got hoodwinked by a swindler to the point of violating ethics laws.
3) A man that held a principle only when it was convenient for him to hold that principle.
4) The opponent that Barack Obama beat to become the first African American President of the USA.
5) The senator who stubbornly insisted on hanging on to an outdated and destructive military policy when facts showed it to be more of a hindrance to effective national defense than a beneficial one.
6) A person who will be forgotten by the track of history as time and events show how foolish and counter productive his political positions were.

9. He'll be known in history for one thing alone
(According to my mom) as the man who unleashed a rabid dog (Sarah Palin) on the American people.

5. Non-Maverick John McCain also opposed the MLK Holiday.
Non-Maverick John McCain also did his best to assist S&L thief Charles Keating.

6. Any relevance that man had is long gone.
His comments on the floor of the Senate today were absolutely disgusting. Shame on you, John McCain!

10. Is there a record of that comment anywhere? I'm still in shock. People need to hear what he said.

14. Here it is on Youtube.
These comments were made right before the vote for cloture. Although he never said the words "gay" or "DADT," I think the inference he was making was quite clear.

"Hate wears you down and does not hurt your enemy. It is like taking poison and wishing your enemy would die."

Mr. McCain has fed the wrong wolf.
