It will take years to actually filter down to the lowest privates, airmen, and whatever Navy and Marines are called at the lowest level.

And it will be fought. Vigorously.

The chaplains of the military, from the Pentagon on down are infested with fundys.

And they are going to fight like hell (pun intended) to keep "their men" *PURE* and *SACRED.*

But as a policy I think we can expect to see open gays in the military in 4-6 months. The Marines do not get a veto here. Adm. Mullen, Gates and Obama have to sign off, and they are all for repeal.

Remember that it's mostly the older men who have the problem with it all. In a few years (or sooner, if they get pissed off) they will muster out.
