Lieberman was asked if the DADT debate between him and McCain would leave any scars.
Edited on Sat Dec-18-10 11:57 PM by BzaDem
"Of McCain, he said, "We've been through a lot together, so I don't think this will leave any scars. I think we leave this fight knowing that I was right and he was wrong. It's as simple as that."

Never thought I would agree so much with the likes of Lieberman.

Poor inglorious McCain. I almost feel sorry for him. Almost.

7. Even a broken clock is right twice a day
Lieberman can be right once a decade. That's about all I'll give him. When he formed his own party, Connecticut for Lieberman rather than Lieberman for Connecticut, that pretty well told me all I needed to know about him.

11. More like half the time, I believe.
I'm not an expert on Lieberman, but my understanding is that he's generally actually reasonably liberal on social issues; it's just that he has fairly right-wing views on foreign policy (I'm not sure where he stands on economics).

I'd take Lieberman over any of the Republicans any day, and conversely I'd take a more liberal Democrat over him any day.

12. You Can Not Have A Rational Discussion About Him Here
It reminds me of the quote from Nietzsche "Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster," I am not saying him or his opponents are monsters but his opposition to them and their opposition to him has led to mutual and abject animus...
