4. This is the best way for it to happen.
If other dictators see they can escape with some cash, they will, rather than send in the stormtroopers. Much better in the long run.

6. Does that mean to hell with the Egyptian people?
Or is it just not good enough? Either way it's what is expected when people can't admit something good happened. This scenario is played out each time, it's old and needs to be put out to pasture.

9. That's right twist it around.......
Nice touch! Did I fucking say his overthrow wasn't a good thing anywhere? What did I say, the PEOPLE need to recover THEIR treasure. THEIR TREASURE. Bullshit.

11. Do you think they have money on their minds today?
If it's a good thing then have something good to say about it instead of moving the goal posts.

say that she hoped that Mubarak can be put on trial and the money retrieved to give it to the Egyptians.

It ain't over till it's over. And it ain't over. He may be gone but nothing is preventing the new Egypt from going after the billions Mubarak has stashed around the globe.

10. The sad thing is, you could also be talking about any number of US leaders.
Maybe they are cheering because he promised to leave and even a fragment of a hope is better than no hope.

13. One step at a time. The people worked hard for this, they suffered and were martyred for this, and
deserve the time to celebrate their victory. of COURSE they are cheering, as we cheer with them. Have patience, grasshopper!

they are celebrating and cheering because they succeeded having Mubarak leave.

15. Why do divorces cost so much?
Because they're worth it. If he decided to stay and machinegun the crowds no amount of money would have brought those people back. If a life of ease and comfort entices him to give up the throne-- --well, it's better than wholesale slaughter.

17. He hasn't actually left the country
Given the desire of many Egyptians to see him in jail, I wonder if he waited too long to leave, and now won't be able to. Great irony there, yes?
