Freshman GOPer already under investigation
The Miami-Dade state attorney's office is investigating more than $500,000 in secret payments from the owners of the Flagler Dog Track to a company tied to Congressman-elect David Rivera, The Miami Herald has learned.

Most of the money was paid in early 2008, weeks after Rivera -- then a member of the Florida House of Representatives -- helped run a political campaign backed by the dog track to win voter approval for Las Vegas-style slot machines at parimutuel venues in Miami-Dade County.

The dog track -- now called the Magic City Casino -- made three payments totaling $510,000 to Millennium Marketing, a company currently co-managed by Rivera's 70-year-old mother. Investigators are still trying to determine if Rivera himself received any of the money, or if anything about the transaction was illegal, according to sources close to the inquiry.

6. Oh, the little you know.
To an Hispanic who believes that the Democratic party has done more to pull Hispanics up from the poverty levels, I have no tolerance for Hispanics who side with Republican values.

You know, you all may want stop to examine the kind of culture that Republicans are leading us into, where the top ten percent of the country owns 90 percent of the resources. It's called Latin America. Pick a country.

That's where we're headed.

So, no, we have no patience for people who are accustom to fifteen cent shoe shines, and ask for the change when they give the shoe-shine boy a quarter because they don't want to spoil him.

4. Republicans don't do public service, they do private service.
You have to wonder why people keep electing people that are corrupt. Between him, his roommate Rubio, and Scott....what is going on with Florida politics. Of course, I also wonder about my state (ME) politics.
