He's kicked Kyl's ass already, and is currently crushing Inhofe.

C-Span2 geeks rejoice!

:)

5. As he has been able to do a fair amount of diplomacy - obviously with Obama's permission.
he might be better in the Senate as Chair of SFRC. One big difference is that he has the freedom to his own public opinion.

4. He's been doing that since Wednesday
He is doing a fantastic job. I hope that enough Republicans will do the right thing on national security - rather than pout and claim it is no fair that the Democrats get this through.

I went to a Kerry celebration of 45 years of service, 25 in the Senate /fundraiser last Monday with others from DU JK. Watching now seeing the Senate, it is hard to reconcile this incredibly strong advocate, intensely making complicated arguments, with the relaxed, smiling man, singing Christmas carols (along with the entire crowd) with the Boston Pops. It is great that he can be both.

6. Clearly he is winning the argument.
The vote is another thing.

I'm optimistic.

7. It shouldn't be too hard to crush Inhofe. Just ask Barbara Boxer.
