What is Christie Giving Up?

I just watched a 60 minutes report on the budget problems of U.S. states. In the piece it was stated that New Jersey governor Chris Christe along with the governors of other states is pushing state union workers to give up parts of their pensions. Whenever I see stories like this I wonder what Christie and the others calling for people to give things are willing to give up. Is Christie cutting his pay? Is Christie giving up his pension? Is Christie giving up his healthcare? If people like Governor Christie want others to give up things they should be willing to give up the same things.
