Does this guy have an original thought in his head?
Does the author of this charming little screed have an original thought in his empty head, or does he get all his material from Glenn Beck?

In the Jan. 16, issue of the Archdiocese of Dubuque's newspaper, The Witness, an article stated that concerned students at Wahlert High School live the social justice teaching by their lives. I also see social justice dialog in the Catholic Church.

My understanding of social justice is that it is a Marxist term defined by Van Jones, who was an adviser to President Obama, as "equal outcome," accomplished by government wealth redistribution and government controlling policy to accomplish this end.

In my opinion, this Marxist idea is contrary to God's creation as He created man with different talents resulting in different outcomes. I don't think we will all be judged as equal, no matter what the government does to or for us.

The Constitution does not suggest that the talented, ambitious individual has to share his talent with the welfare recipient who uses his or her talent to milk the system and is content in doing so.

I'm considering writing a response to this asshole to see if it gets printed. Any ideas on what I should say to this idiot? I'm wide open to suggestions.

;-) Hilarious that the OP is calling out the LTTE for not having an original thought, then turns around and asks US what he should write in response.

Priceless!!

15. Funny. I read ZombieHorde's reply
to mean 47of74 should include "Have you had any original thoughts, If so..." in his response. Funny how people can interpret the written word so differently.

anyone but yourself. Typical Republican???

4. Just ask him who his God is.
Edited on Tue Feb-15-11 03:56 PM by RandomThoughts
Or more accurately ask him if he knows who his God is, although it is his own issue who is his God, he should know, by thinking about it

10. What people think there religion is and what it really is, is not always the same.
Whats in the heart means more then whats in the speech.

Sometimes people say something to defend against having to think and feel about it.

I know there are many people not of the religion they think they are part of. Not judging people, but the pick and choose makes it possible to read some text, or learn some teachings in many different ways.

11. He should be asked if when he gets his personal planet...
does he intend to surround it with floating chalkboards to protect himself from the Universal Caliphate?

5. Equality of opportunity doesn't equal equality of outcome.
Socialism certainly encourages entrepreneurialism, but socialists want to level the playing field with good nutrition, education, medical care, shelter, etc. for everyone.

18. It's always the same group
There's always the same group of conservatives who comment on the articles there. I rarely comment on the articles anymore, because I just don't have the energy to get drawn into arguments with these clowns, nor do I have the time.

13. Well, it's said to be based on the teachings of St Thomas Aquinas
and first formulated back in the 19th Century. Basically the author of the article you cite is talking out of his ass.

Check the wiki page for it

16. I just sent a LTTE in...
...pretty much saying that. I threw in the name of the 19th Italian Jesuit who coined the term in the first place and said that if you're going to attack social justice to get your facts straight and not just spout the garbage of a sociopath like Glenn Beck.

17. Good!
Though Bec-k-k-k and the - errr - person of limited cognition who wrote the screed will not change their minds. Both probably think Cathoholics have perverted the original word of Jaysus handed down intact to the baptist or pentecostalist preachers of the 19th Century.

So it goes ...

I remember hearing that trash from beck's own mouth.
