Around 100 activists gathered at 9 a.m. at the Time-Life Building, formerly CNN. We were welcomed by members of NYC's Finest Union, who privately thanked us for supporting public workers in Wisconsin.

After my brief welcoming remarks, Jonathan Tasini fired up the crowd with a speech about the importance of the struggle in Wisconsin, and its connection to the struggles of workers in New York.

2. OK I saw this earlier today Friday 2/18/11 and thought it was going to be on Saturday 2/19/11

Would it have hurt them to put the damn date on this.

Seriously, I would have liked to go but was wary because there was no date.

This is why the left will never win.
