After 9/11 and the anthrax attacks there was an outpuring of support for (some) public employees
Firefighters, police, first responders, Port Authority workers and postal workers.

And a good many of them were unionized too.

1. But we turned our backs on them when they
began to suffer from exposure at ground zero. It's the American way. Need I :sarcasm:?

4. Teabaggers, as usual, are confused. They don't even realize...
that first responders ARE public employees.

Many of them really, really don't.

Kinda like "No socialism!" versus "Don't touch my Medicare!"

They can't connect the dots.

:eyes:

6. The military too
And their benefit package by far and away exceeds what the civilian workers are getting.
