In many ways Gaddafi reminds me of Saddam Hussein
There are too many similarities.

They both came to power thru a military coup. Both bombed their citizens while they revolted. Gaddafi's oldest son runs the Lybian olympic committee. Saddam's oldest son used to be the head of Iraqi olympic committee.

Both crazy men and narcissist. Interesting to note that Ghaddafi's only daughter is a lawyer who was on Saddam's defense team.

Maybe the crazy Gaddafi is also seeing the similarities and hopes to hang on to power by bloodshed, just as Saddam did when Shiites and Kurds revolted against him. All I can say is thank god he does not have chemical weapons or he would have dropped those on the city of Benghazi by now.
