Thank you all - Thank you, EVERYONE!
As someone born in Madison in 1954, I am getting increasingly Verklepmt over the support shown by DU, and people all over the country, and yes, even worldwide.

I couldn't bear it if Wisconsin were to drop the ball on this, as it would be a death knell for all the progressive changes over the last 100 years in support of middle and lower income Americans.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

Love from Wisconsin!!

CLANG

3. Clang, I was born in Ripon, WI and attended university in Wi -
(Madison), and with the number of other students going through that school I would daresay we've got Wisconsinites all over the world. And in fact many who have never even stepped foot in the state are hanging tough with us - it is wonderful isn't it! Unions, YES.

14. True - I lived in a house my last year with a bunch of foreign
students who attended the Vet school. Apparently it was very tough to get into. They were great housemates! The diversity of the school overall is one of the best features.

and have live along the Gulf Coast my entire life. If your nutbag gov turns the tanks on you, he will be turning them on all Gulf Coast residents. We haven't forgotten how Andrew survivors stood with us Katrina survivors.

Irritating the independent, self-reliant residents of the coast is a very bad thing to do.

29. Born there in 1949, grew up there, went to school there, my Mom's still there
and she is 95, a former shop steward for AFSCME as a clerk in DILHR, and currenly resides 2 blocks from the square in a facility that is on the same block she was born and raised herself, the 300 block of W. Doty St.

I left Wisconsin many moons ago for warmer climes on the West Coast, but I stand behind my Mom, cousins, sisters, half-sister, brother, late uncles, late aunts, late cousins that were all union members/officials in Wisconsin. They lived through the depression and started these unions in the 30s there. Wisconsin has always been progressive. Go Badgers!

My ancestors are dancing a jig up there right now, cheering on the state workers.

Hands off my Social Security!
Hands off Latin America!
