I just figured out the deal with Walker's voice on the phone call

I only had a pair of broken headphones with me earlier, with no right speaker channel, so no voice of Walker. I've been reduced to transcripts and excerpts on TV 'til now. I now get to listen to the full thing.

He sounds like he's on the phone with his boss! Like he's really done the company proud this time, and he'll finally get that promotion. He's totally thrilled to have "Koch" on the phone and wants to really do good by him.

4. The guy playing Koch was fabulous

He felt no need to fill long silent pauses, which Walker would then fill by babbling in a servile manner. You could tell that Walker couldn't figure out why Koch was calling, and kept on blathering banal bullshit, hoping Koch would come to some point and reveal the purpose of the call. Very funny really. I think Walker thought maybe he'd be getting new Koch campaign money, or something. I've never seen someone get spoofed so well.

13. What was so hilarious, was that the guy put on the most ridiculous "generic billionaire" voice

and just ran with it, and so did Walker. I did summer stock one year, and I remember a guy that did a cheesy-ass voice just like this, and it just brought back a ton of hilarious memories!

It's just this.... puffed up, overly important, chesty, ridiculous rich guy voice.

He kept saying "beautiful" every once in a while, in response to various schemes and balloons being floated by Walker, but otherwise just kept Walker gabbing. Great strategy for a prank call.

7. Three things I noticed about the phone call

Listen to his voice and tone when he knows "koch" is on the phone

When "koch" offers to call his democratic friend and he say no, "he is not one of us" What's he mean by that??

When he talks about them getting their freedoms back. Does he mean how he wants to rape the state??

14. It's clearly a very conspiratorial, secret, knowing phone call.

Walker feels like he's really got the guy on the phone, the bad motherfucker, and he wants to tell him what's up. Give him a field report, and really make use of this phone call. It feels very "fly on the wall" to listen to, and honestly in its own way, a bit chilling.
