How rich are the Super Rich?

It's the Inequality, Stupid
Eleven charts that explain everything that's wrong with America.

A huge share of the nation's economic growth over the past 30 years has gone to the top one-hundredth of one percent, who now make an average of $27 million per household. The average income for the bottom 90 percent of us? $31,244.

Note: The 2007 data (the most current) doesn't reflect the impact of the housing market crash. In 2007, the bottom 60% of Americans had 65% of their net worth tied up in their homes. The top 1%, in contrast, had just 10%. The housing crisis has no doubt further swelled the share of total net worth held by the superrich.

2. Seeing that literally makes me weep....
And more so because "my side" enabled it and completely allowed it to happen by throwing their lot in with the wealthy over everyone else.

3. A friend of mine is doing work for a guy that spent 25 million to buy
two pieces of property, next door to each other, with mansions on both properties, just to tear them down and build a 25 million dollar house. His budget is 50 million dollars. This friend has had a contracting business for years but had to take a job running a project for anther contractor to make ends meet. The job for the rich guy he is doing on his own hoping to get new house contract and rebuild his business.
