http://www.cnn.com/2011/POLITICS/02/24/wisconsin.budget/Madison, Wisconsin (CNN) -- House lawmakers in Wisconsin are poised to vote on a controversial budget repair bill that would curb public workers' collective bargaining rights and raise their contributions to pensions and health insurance plans, according to one Democrat state representative.
Assemblyman Mark Pocan, D-Madison, said the vote will likely come some time between noon and 2 p.m. (1 to 3 p.m. ET).
Pocan said his party has offered at least 100 amendments to the bill. The state assembly, in which Republicans hold a majority, has been debating the measure in marathon overnight sessions for days.
A more contentious battle continued in the state's Senate.
Wisconsin's 14 Senate Democrats, who fled to neighboring Illinois to prevent a quorum from passing the bill, remained absent Thursday from the legislative process.
