Video Of Burning Greek Policeman As Class Warfare Escalates- Protesters Scream "Don't Obey The Rich"
Video Of Burning Greek Policeman As Class Warfare Escalates - Protesters Scream "Don't Obey The Rich—Fight Back"

And Wisconsin thinks it has it rough..."Youths wearing hoods ski masks hurled rocks and fire bombs at riot police as clashes broke out Wednesday in Athens during a mass rally against austerity measures, part of a general strike that crippled services and public transportation around the country. Police fired tear gas and flash grenades at protesters, blanketing parts of the city center in choking smoke. Thousands of peaceful demonstrators ran to side streets to take cover. A police officer was attacked and his uniform caught fire in the city's main Syntagma Square, before he was rescued by colleagues. His motorcycle was burned. More than 30,000 protesters had attended the Athens rally, which had been calm before the clashes. Protesters chanting "Don't obey the rich—Fight back!" marched to parliament as the city center was heavily policed. A brass band, tractors and cyclists joined the rally."

1. Wisconsin is trying very hard to avoid that sort of thing.
For Americans, violence is never far from our minds. We are marinated in it by our media 24/7.

And when we aren't we use the language of violence to describe our sporting events and politics (is there a difference between those two things any more?).

Don't think for an instant that violence couldn't happen in Wisconsin, while protesting we are watching each other closely to avoid it.

2. Perhaps Greece to will go the way of Libya.
I do wonder if armed Greeks seize police stations, will the Western media refer to them as "demonstrators," as it has with Libyans.

3. Unlikely
Greece has elections which are "fair" as far as I know. Tom Freidman said the middle east is 50 years behind everyone else. If you compare many countries to Greece you'll find it's true. They dumped their monarchs ages ago.
