Lawmakers to halt sleepovers in the Capitol
Edited on Thu Feb-24-11 06:36 PM by nadinbrzezinski
Protesters will have to end sleepovers at the Wisconsin Capitol by Saturday night.

The Joint Committee on Legislative Organization voted Wednesday to restrict access to hearing rooms and legislative offices after normal business hours starting Saturday. Doing so will allow law enforcement to close the building after 6 p.m. as is usually the case.

So the cops did not play nice, and I suspect the Guard did not play either. So now the REPUBLICANS will stop this by passing laws.

Republicans HATE First Amendment Remedies.

1. I am from WI - Brewtown
Walker and the rethugs have no principles. Not much of a surprise. The capitol of all Wisconsinites has been overthrown by Koch and Walker.

5. Don't the tax-paying state citizens/protesters own the Capitol?
They are getting thrown out of their own house.

6. What are they gonna do? Charge 'em all with trespassing?
I don't envision those committed folks just simply walking out, voluntarily.

8. Who is going to remove them?
When the police are on the protesters side? The National Guard? These people will not leave, unless by force..and that will be A HUGE FREAKING MISTAKE.

11. That is the people's State House, not yours, you Republican shit bags.
I guess we'll see just how sympathetic our union brothers and sisters in blue are to this peaceful protest.
