I want to say one thing about incest between a parent and child

adult or not. It's a terrible abuse of power on the part of the parent- even if it's supposedly consensual and the child is of age. It doesn't just happen. It happens because of prior abuse or grooming on the part of the parent.

It is NOT a sexual relationship entered into by two people of who are remotely equal in power.

That said, I agree with you. An imbalance of power that strong is never really overcome in life, even when one is caring for a parent who has become old and infirm.

I suppose the DA has latitude, but some questioned why only he was pursued legally.

if they investigate more and go back to when she was a minor. If he's following his own theory, this didn't happen overnight. If the daughter was "groomed" for this, there needs to be some evidence to that effect.
