2. It's probably a little late for that.
But I've been saying all along, they need to go on strike.

3. Can you afford it? To go on strike I mean?
You think a teacher can afford to strike? What about parents who have no way to watch their kids during the day? Strike by proxy?

While I agree that a strike is a good solution, it will hurt many many people and shouldn't be done lightly.

5. That's why it would be effective.
Parents would get mad, nobody to watch the brats, so they'd have to stay home. The economy takes a small hit. Business will grab walker by the balls and put an end to it.

Can teachers afford to strike? Can anyone ever afford to strike? Why don't you ask some coal miners that. Ask them if it would ever cross their mind if their rights were taken away.

6. You are right but it's a tough call for me...
I'd be one of those parents with the "brats" at home. Not easy to live through a strike. And I have been there my dad was a Teamster for a long time...

The problem I see is the other side has a lot more resources to sit out a lengthy strike. Walker has already admitted that he's not budging, I don't think a strike will change his mind. However I think that a million fucking people at his front door for a couple days might loosen his resolve.

We'll have to see. The way I see this ending is other State Republicans will throw the vote, then Walker gets to keep his "resolve".

7. I never promised it would be easy. I can virtually guarantee you that it won't be.

The people that will be complaining to walker are his supporters.
Shutting down the schools, similar to how snow does that here, effects the economy and disrupts lives.
They'll be begging walker to put an end to it. Right now, nobody's telling him to do that except for some democrats and they don't seem to mind in the least.

And if it doesn't, that's when the cops go on strike.

Put the fear of god in those publicans. Tell them the only people to save them from the molesters are going on strike.

8. What is happening won't hurt many people?
Every once in a while people have to stand up for themselves, even cowardly Americans...If they don't strike then they get what they get and will just shut up and take it..

9. Can't afford not to. Either that or teachers make minimum wage.
You may not care, but those of us with children are not thrilled with that prospect.
