Here's the solution to Social Security according to a freeper
on Thom Hartmann. In the middle of an argument about SS, Thom Hartmann tried to educate him as to why SS came about. It was about old people dying of hypothermia in the winter and food poisoning year around because they were eating things like garbage and dog food. He spouted out that back then few people lived to be sixty-five. Wow! That must be the solution! Kill everyone when they reach the age of 65 and who have lost all their retirement savings due to a bad economy and Wall Street chicanery. Social Security will never be needed. Like why haven't Newt Gingrich, Grover Norquist, Michelle Bachmann and all the other Social Security haters not thought of that yet? A simple an elegant solution that is so in line with their thinking.

:-(

solution to social security
this is similar to Jonathan Swift's cure for the Irish famine. Eat the babies. Of course he was kidding.

1. I heard that guy
The perfect example of overly intellectualized lack of concern for other human beings. That guy has citations instead of a heart.

5. Kill them all!
All those freeloading old farts who paid into their SS all their lives. They don't deserve to get anything back.

3. Actually, life expectancy was 65 because there was a lot of childhood death.
Most people that made it to 65 in those days did live 6-7 years longer.

4. Maybe if they didn't have to freeze or starve they
might have lived ten to thirteen years longer.

8. What we do for people over 65 will be there for ALL Americans. That is why some people are
fighting it so hard, even to the point of justifying a genocide of neglect for this country's elders.

Let's face it, elders are HARD to take care of, much harder to take care of than children. Even in situations in which at least lip service is being paid to their care, there is a strong inclination to warehouse and even drug them. It's referred to as using "chemical restraints" for "their own good," of course.

20. It's more common than people think.
So much about elder care depends upon family who are involved and who advocate for their elders. LOTS of people don't have anyone like that. There's a great deal that is legal and that does make it through state surveys that isn't necessarily the best thing for the person.

Actually, my family has learned that just about our entire health care system, for any age group, NEEDS strong well-informed advocacy. Lots and lots of pills being thrown around without much regard for complicated effects. Very trial and error stuff.

22. The problem with nit wits like that is they actually believe
they will never be old, will be in the same exact health they are today and will be able to do the work of a 20 year old or make a fortune off their expertise on buying stocks. Accidents and health problems are all examples of bad life planning to the nit wits.

23. Guarantee you when this freeper gets to retirement age
and isn't rich (which I bet he's not) he'll sing a different toon - for himself or course. He'll continue to harbor his freeper beliefs he currently does. But for himself it'll be a different story. Just like all their talk about war while they sit in their mother's basement.

Freepers are all the same, nothing but ignorant, hateful, hypocritical 'Chicken Hawks'.
