Canada's population growing because of immigration: StatsCan
http://www.montrealgazette.com/news/canada/Canada+population+growing+because+immigration+StatsCan/4015537/story.html

Canada's population in the third quarter of 2010 was driven forward by the highest immigration rates seen in four decades, Statistics Canada says.

Canada's population was estimated at 34,238,000 as of Oct. 1 — an increase of 129,300 since July. The federal agency said 65 per cent of that growth came from new Canadians during the three-month period, as 84,200 immigrants arrived in the country.

"In 2010, we should be landing the largest number of permanent residents in 50 years," said Kelli Fraser, a spokeswoman for Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

Fraser said that number is driven largely by a June announcement that Canada would open its doors to more immigrants, especially those in the economic category. "The reason the announcement was made was because the post-recession economy is now demanding a high level of legal immigration to keep the workforce strong," she said, adding that there also has been a high number of family reunification immigrants and refugees.

4. Canada has Freepers too and they are just as dumb and backward as yours.

When I was growing up it was perfectly normal for people
my parents age to call immigrants, Ukes, Bohunks, Wops and DPs

Later it was Pakis, Ragheads, ans Carpet Jockeys

Not to mention natives who were called Chugs, and Clam Diggers

Anybody who thinks Canada isn't racist hasn't been hear
very long. I work in a phone room and the Asian folks get
asked all the time if they are calling from India. Nobody
ever asks me where I'm calling from. Same with another Chinese
caller who has a perfect English accent. Nobody ever asks her
about where she is calling from or where she was born.

BTW we only call into Canada not the US so this is Canadians
I'm talking about.

3. Try the Wet Coast. Same as Washington and Oregon.

They sell Poutine here too but I don't know anyone who
actually eats it. LOL

Oh and beer. Lots of beer

5. They also opened citizenship to the children of citizens born abroad.
I'm sure many thousands of new Canadians were created with a stroke of a pen. Myself included.
