As is that headline, but that's another story.

They proved their point the other day, now they're just being pricks. I don't support the North and I am well aware of the history of Northern aggression. But, this latest round seems like it IS actual provocation.

Seems like since the old head of the army was forced to quit they put in the wingnuts.

1. You might see things a little differently if your neighbor was insane
and armed with nukes.

20. What a stupid comment
Can you please explain how that relates to ANYTHING. We're not talking about other places, we're talking about Koreans. We're not saying Koreans are the only ones who act this way, just pointing out its a bit of a factor in this case.

People like you just go around looking to create outside issues that don't exist. Why is that? Is it cause you want to be included, but don't know what you're talking about?

I am expecting to have our regularly scheduled escalation in three months at most... since we have been in that routine since oh 1999... and sooner or later somebody will go too far.

To tell me why they so adamantly support the south? I mean can you discuss it instead of just saying "unrec" or is that too much to fucking ask? Also, try not to tell me about the bad shit the North has done, I'm well aware of it an support the South. I've been there a few times and have friends there. But, I think they did the right thing Monday, but today seems a bit overboard.

You know, not EVERY post on this fucking website is meant as an affront to your core beliefs.

52. South Korea has shown considerable restraint considering that the North Koreans
sank a ship killing 49 sailors AND they shelled an island which killed 4 people. And that's just this year and not counting all the crap the North Koreans have done in the past. Considering that those are acts of war, South Korea has done well. They're pissed and they have every right to be pissed when a shithead dictator bullies them.

Here's a pdf with a list of what North Korea has done to the South from 1950-2003:

53. YES. Countries next door to insane and dangerous Communist dictatorships need to seriously KISS ASS.
South Korea needs to work on being *nice* to their neighbor. Ask them what they need, whether they would like any help with anything, that kind of thing. Because this kind of approach always averts war.

57. I'm in the minority, but I agree.
Plenty of people that post on this site I imagine would be very pleased if there were another Korean war. They do not seem to realize that the only reason the N. Korean state survives is because of rightly-motivated anti-US animus in that country due to the atrocities from the first war.

Both sides should cease further provocation, and respect international conventions regarding maritime borders - there is no "Northern Limit Line" that is legally binding. That said, I support the right of the Korean people to determine their own fate, free from interference by foreign forces. I certainly support withdrawal of US military from Korea.
