Yes, there *are* positives that can be taken away from this.....
#1 The Republicans just committed political suicide.

#2 As I understand it, the vote could be overturned by the courts, which means that they committed political suicide for nothing.

#3 Recall efforts will probably be ramped up tenfold. If the Dems regain a majority and Walker is recalled, collective bargaining is almost sure to return. Unions will not forget this and I think people will be fired up enough to turn out big.

#4 The state of Wisconsin and the country as a whole are becoming more aware by the day of what the GOP-Koch-Fox Alliance are up to.

#5 The whole "it's about the budget!!!!" talking point is out-of-play. It's torpedoed. It's even more obvious that this is not, and never was part of the budget.

#6 I still believe that we're controlling the narrative on this, and if we continue to control the narrative, we will eventually win.

Yes, we have lost this battle. But we have not lost the war.

1. Scott Walker's ham-handed handling of this disaster has been more than revealing
In the end, it will be his undoing.

3. The Supreme Court election in April is going to be crucial for #2
Joanne Klopenberg is running against the Walker toady Prosser, it is crucial that Wisconsin residents get out the vote for Klopenberg if we are going to see this defeated in court. Right now Republicans have a one vote majority in the Supreme Court, a Klopenberg victory would shift the balance.

12. "Kloppenburg for Justice"
http://www.kloppenburgforjustice.com/

Would be nice to donate to the cause, but it looks like that's not possible due to public financing. Still, the campaign definitely needs physical support and voters. GOTV, Wisconsin!

6. Agreed, this is ultimately a good thing
As shoking and scary as it is.

The great awakening has begun, these clowns are accelerating the process. Not that it will be easy; it will suck hard for quites some time. But now there is (actual) hope.

11. Yep.. with the exception of the 20-25% that
"want their country back" most people.. even Republicans can see what they are trying to do here.
