Too funny!

But then again, if something you saw on your television is going to influnce you, it's probably best you don't raise children or engage in anything with people.

A Force Behind the Lower Teen Birthrate: MTV's '16 and Pregnant'

A report released Tuesday by The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy shows that parental influence is the most-cited factor by teens when it comes to avoiding teen pregnancy.

But the report also specifically cites the popular "16 and Pregnant" series, indicating that 82 percent of teens say the show helps them better understand the challenges of teen pregnancy and parenthood — and why they should avoid it.

1. Maybe they should make some new
"After School Specials" -- like the one where Johnny shares a joint with some friends at a party and three days later he's found dead of a heroin overdose in an abandoned warehouse. Just say no, kids...

3. Yes, MTV's "16 and Pregnant" speaks compellingly to teens.
This series has ripped apart the teen girl fantasy of young motherhood. It shows the hard, hard, work of being a young parent. It shows how having a child ends the mother's teen years, but not necessarily the father's.

It's one of the most important shows on television.

9. If you had the job of designing an advertisement for a particular brand of motor oil ...
what approach would you use?

For example, would you start with a short lecture about the physics of viscosity, and a brief history of motor oils?

7. So you are actually mocking teens for learning from a
tv show? Would it be better if they were influenced by Operas about teen pregnancy? Would it be better if they did not learn those lessons at all?
That show exists in part to serve the audience in just the way it seems to be doing. How is that bad? Do these teens all have the option of getting the lessons elsewhere? What do you suggest they do?
Do you think pop culture should never seek to illuminate or educate? Should it all be about selling shoes?
I guess I just can not see my way clear to making fun of teenagers for learning where they can.

8. My 60's, early 70's TV taught values...
I absorbed them and was ignorant of ugly/evil people until the age of 37.

I believe that's a bigger issue.
