The 2010 Twice List: Films So Nice We Had to See Them, Oh, You Know ...
http://www.vanityfair.com/online/oscars/2010/12/the-2010-twice-list-films-we-saw-twice-this-year.html

Inside Job. If you have any desire to know how exactly Wall Street brought us all to the brink of financial apocalypse, you will find no more informative and entertaining documentary than Inside Job. The beauty of the filmmaking is that it gives a clear sense of the complex monetary cogs that spun out of control in 2008—no mean feat, considering that it was exactly this confusion that was responsible for bringing down financial hydras like Lehman Brothers and A.I.G. You may not need to see this film more than once to understand it, but you will want to see it twice to appreciate it, and then maybe pick up The Communist Manifesto.

2. Great quotes from the Inside Job trailer:
" Why can we believe in.? There is nothing we can trust anymore".

"It's a Wall Street Government".

and the kicker:
Q:" Why do you think there isn't a more systematic investigation being undertaken?"

A: " Because you'll find the culprits".

Sounds pretty clear to me.

A film I gotta see.

7. 3 great movies that didn't make the list (as they were all foreign)...
Aftershock

A pretty heavy movie based on the earthquake in Tangshan, China back in 1976 that killed 240,000 people. In the movie, a mother's two children are trapped in the rubble under a huge slab of concrete. If the rescuers move it to save the son it will kill the daughter. If they move it to save the daughter it will kill the son. Under pressure to choose one or the other she decides to save her son, but unknown to her the daughter hears her choice and survives. The movie follows 40 years of their lives and the effect that decision had on all three. An amazingly powerful movie, this was the biggest surprise for me all year. I was expecting a somewhat cheesy disaster movie and instead got a film that rivals the likes of Scorcese. I won't forget this one anytime soon.

The Good, The Bad, The Weird

Indiana Jones set in 1940's Manchuria as directed by Tarantino using Sergio Leone's equipment while John Woo supervises. The most fun I had watching a movie all year, without a doubt. Even the trailer makes me smile. :)

Four Lions

A comedy about four British Muslims who decide to become suicide bombers. The trailer makes it look more slapstick than it is, but it's more in line with movies like Best in Show or A Mighty Wind. I laughed my ass off, but other's mileage may vary.
