Another anti-gay NY State Sen. Falls

One of the eight State Senators that voted against marriage equality in New York State last year is now in a heap of trouble. Senator Carl Kruger surrendered to the FBI over a bribery scheme that funneled $1 million dollars into his pocket from hospital executives, a developer and a lobbyist. But the most interesting aspect of the story is that this anti-gay marriage senator laundered the funds through his…wait for this…boyfriend…WHAT?…boyfriend, Manhattan gynecologist Michael Turano. Turano was also arrested in the bribery sting. Why is it that our most fierce opponents to civil rights end up being sad closet cases?
