1. It would have made more sense to have been "LOOK FORWARD"
As a poster here pointed out when it first appeared, lean forward is what they tell you to when you are constipated..LOLOL

8. I took it to mean
that they didn't lean right or left, politically. Whether that's reality or not is up for interpretation.

17. Jon Stewart had a piece on this
Apparently, Fox and CNN felt upstaged, so they responded with their own slogans *trumping* lean forward.

Fox: Move Forward

CNN: Move Truth Forward

Stewart's punchline:
Yeah, I'm going to start a shoe company and my slogan will be Just Really Do It

18. Bunch of shit from Corporate media owners
to give us something to talk about.

In reality, like its brethens, MSNBC all too often leans forward in disinformation and manipulation. Nothing to be proud of.....
At least they've got a couple of hours of programming that one can stomach...which is more
than I can say about those other blowhards who call themselves news channels.

19. I was half-listening to MSNBC while reading DU on my downstairs computer
Edited on Thu Dec-23-10 03:34 PM by old mark
and it occurred to me that "Lean Forward" is completely meaningless...they must have paid someone a half-million dollars to come up with it.

Are they trying to suggest their programming is totally out of touch with reality?

21. Yes.
I says to me that if I want change, I must take responsibility for making change happen. While I am not and never will be a limited government type, I also realize that ethical people working to do good by the fellow citizens have more impact than government.
