Cheney has been reduced to buying his freedom from Nigeria
Monetary compensation may have been what the Nigerians wanted to start with, so they've won. It seems they gained much more out of dropping the charges than they would by continuing an un-winnable prosecution. They won more than they lost.

The fact that Cheney goes free doesn't mean anything. He would have gone free anyway.

If we want to get even small satisfaction out of this it should be that Cheney has to keep throwing money at his problems. My fervent hope is that he has to do this every day for the rest of his life. May he enjoy his 'freedom'. His life depends on being plugged in to a socket just to continue being alive. How is that better than a jail cell?

Cheney is a slave to his condition. He's living on borrowed time and only because he has a pump for a heart. I'm sure he's reminded of his impending mortality every day of his existence. And by the way he's fought to stay alive, I'm sure death terrifies him. I certainly wouldn't trade places with him no matter how wealthy he is.

He wanted international level power. He wanted this country to be just like the world of Big Brother in the book 1984, and he wanted to be like the Wizard of Oz's little man behind the curtain pulling the strings and booming the big bad ass voice at the population to scare them into thinking he was all powerful. And he failed. The dreams he had to take over are vanishing before his eyes. And because of that I hope he lives for a long time on his prison of a heart pump.

Karma is a bitch.

him, and I hope he has to spend his last dime buying his way out.

and I fervently hope he and his cohorts and minions receive everything they deserve.

4. Ever see the matrix where the Machine is using unconscious humans for energy?
Cheney has one of those set ups in his secret underground lair.

Provide, Provide." - R. Frost

Advice that Dickie 'Five-Military-Deferments' Cheney (R) apparently took to heart, as corporate payola gets him yet another deferments from responsibility.

3. Funny really
But not funny in a comedy way, paying a bribe to get out of trial for paying a bribe...Hopefully his remaining time on earth will be even more onerous on him than it it has been on us.

5. It doesn't do any good for him throwing money at his problems as long

as he has a pool of supporters to draw from.

It would need to be substantial so that it reduces contributions that those supporters would otherwise provide to others.
