What earth going on?

A Secret Service agent draws a gun on a man evading arrest by Honolulu police led officers on a high-speed chase that went through a security checkpoint near the neighborhood where the president is staying. Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan said the man was arrested a short time later and incident was not related to the president's visit, in Kailua, Hawaii,

4. Hell, when responding to an EMERGENCY CALL
placed by local cops after a wall collapses...

Long story... suffice it to say the bore of those guns looks really, REALLY BIG, when on the wrong end of it. And it is worst when you have TWO protection teams competing!

Long story... I smile these days.

8. Fun Fact...
A secret service agent has never fired a gun during a presidential protection detail...

6. Hell, they breached the outer perimeter in a residential area
and it looks quite accidental.

realize in Hawaii many a times police vehicles are really souped up PRIVATE and unmarked vehicles. They have some actual patrol cars but not really.

I am impressed they even tried the hot stop... driver must really have scared the living daylights off the HPD cops.

And with all the civilian-military roads (You are on a local when consonants are way more than those other five letters)... it is always all kinds of fun. After all HPD cannot go into housing...

9. "They have some actual patrol cars but not really."
That reminds me of a story about Hawaii Five-O

In the very last scene of the opening credits of Hawaii Five-O, the flashing "police" light was actually mounted on the rear-end of a regular car

11. I'm amazed that police officers still chase solo drivers.
If they get the plates, they can catch them later - in a way that doesn't put the public in danger.

12. Except when the plates are stolen, its someone elses car, the evidence is destroyed,

the other person in the car who is wanted by police is no longer in the car, etc.....

IMO, it is not the police who are endangering the public when people flee in vehicles.
