NORAD is tracking a UFO!!!!!
Really--they've been tracking a low-flying craft with a single red light since early this morning!

(If you click on the videos, your kids will get some great information about different sites Santa has already visited. This is also a great tool to get kiddies to bed!)

Merry, Happy ALL!!!!!

1. Unless the kids are old and cunning enough to try to time Santa's arrival
Then they'll be up all night at the computer. :scared:

3. From the NORAD FAQ--
When will Santa arrive at my house?

NORAD tracks Santa, but only Santa knows his route, which means we cannot predict where and when he will arrive at your house. We do, however, know from history that it appears he arrives only when children are asleep! In most countries, it seems Santa arrives between 9:00 p.m. and midnight on December 24th. If children are still awake when Santa arrives, he moves on to other houses. He returns later … but only when the children are asleep.

Seriously--you can SHOW this to the kids. They need to be in BED!!!!

10. Definitely--if you click on the video links in the tracker, you can hear NORAD
officials giving live reports, stories on the speed of Santa's sleigh, etc...

These are people with children, having a bit of fun.

6. If I'm getting coal ...
... then I'm closing down the industry.

Peace on Earth. Goodwill towards everyone!

5. When I was 16, a TV station scared the crap out of me with that.
Edited on Fri Dec-24-10 02:23 PM by GreenStormCloud
It was the Christmas Eve after the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. Late at night, about 11PM, the station cut in with a news bulletin. NORAD was tracking an inbound craft that had been picked up over the pole and headed for the states. Interceptors had been launched. The station continued in great Orson Wells fashion with actors playing the parts of military personnel that were feeding in up-to-the-second reports as the interceptors were vectored in. Stock footage showed F-102s scrambling. Then we heard a pilot saying that he had visual on the bogey. I was sure it was the start of WWIII, and the Russians had sent bombers in a surprise attack. Then the pilot described the bogey as a sleigh pulled by reindeer. I felt so foolish. I had fallen for it, completely.
