Infosys job ad automatically rejected older workers, claims lawsuit
New Jersey man said he was automatically excluded from job because, at 58, he has more than 25 years of experience

March 17, 2011 04:48 PM ETComments (1)Recommended (24).Computerworld - A federal lawsuit claims that requirements in job ads posted by India-based offshore company Infosys Technologies automatically discriminate against older workers.

Ralph DeVito, a New Jersey resident who filed the lawsuit, had applied for two tech job openings advertised by Infosys on Monster.com.

One Infosys job posting set a "maximum experience" requirement of 15 years, and another set a limit of 25 years.

1. Good...Sue the Discriminating Cheap Asses....
Found this to be interesting:

"Most of Infosys workers in the U.S. are from India and are using either H-1B or L-1 visas. But a recent lawsuit also cites its use of the B-1 visa, a visitor visa."

2. Don't go back more than 10 years on your resume
even if you have 20+ years of experience. My husband was told this by an IT headhunter. We also know a HR manager of a national retail chain. She told us there are programs they use that will reject resumes when certain keywords show up.

This OP does not surprise me at all.
