By this logic TSA will disband because they cause large gatherings behind their security checkpoints. :eyes:
Oh and how many more people will die if they drive instead of taking transit?
By the way, "un-props" to WTOP for buying hook, line and sinker into the meme that things make us "unsafe" especially things that don't. Their lead sounds like it's written by Chertoff.
Option for Dulles Metro station may be 'dual' terror threatWASHINGTON - It's a reality of living in the D.C. region -- there are many terror targets. But some are wondering if the region is building a target that's too inviting for terrorists.
As the Metrorail expansion to Dulles International Airport continues, one possibility being considered for a Metro station location is to put it literally at the front step of the airport, on the "Arrivals" ramp.
Metro security officials and the Transportation Security Administration have expressed concern to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority about that location, calling it a possible "dual threat."
"They said that the closeness of a rail station and an airport would certainly be an attractive target to a terrorist," Pat Nowakowski, executive director of the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project, tells WTOP.

During a recent meeting, Airports Authority officials questioned whether Reagan National Airport faced similar issues. **Creekdog: Washington DCA has its own MetroRail station and no, now that they've decided Dulles' would be a terrorist target, they are NOT proposing to close the DCA Metro Station.**
"But the world has changed since that station opened," answered MWAA Chairman Charles Snelling.

There are three alternatives being considered when it comes to the eventual placement of the Metro station at Dulles. Two options would be underground -- one under the airport terminal and another under the large parking lot directly in front of the main building.
Another potential location would put an above-ground Metro station about 600 feet away from the main terminal, at the daily garage.
The Airports Authority will weigh in on the matter when it meets after the New Year.
