President Obama Redefines the Term "Exit Strategy"

In an interview with Univision on Tuesday, President Obama re-defined the term “exit strategy,” and said our exit strategy in Libya would begin this week.

“The exit strategy will be executed this week,” President Obama said, “in the sense that we will be pulling back from our much more active efforts to shape the environment. We will still be in a support role. We will be supplying jamming, intelligence and other assets unique to us."

Planes in the air? Ships in the Mediterranean? Intelligence being provided? Doesn’t sound like an exit strategy at all.

What it does recall is Lewis Carroll.

Will a stable government be installed?

This action, in my mind is akin to starting a riot and then running away.
Were we to have a plan from start to finish, I'd feel much more comfortable.

We should have stayed out and left the Libyans and the Arab League (which are actually a bunch of dictators) to work out a settlement on this. 8. Why isn't Chelsea on the front lines?

What bothers me the most about the USA war mongering policy is that sons and daughters of the war hawks like Hillary and Obama are rarely if ever on the front lines. They save those positions of high risk for average unemployed Americans who have had their job off shored by GATT and NAFTA and other BS trade pacts that the Bush 1, Clinton and Bush 2 and Obama are now pushing. A good war keeps employment low.
