Throughout the tax debacle, I didn't think I had a horse in the race
but I was still angry at the rich for pushing not to pay their share. My ex-husband is unemployed and at 93 weeks, it impacted him. But today, I did a test run on my taxes because I had noticed my company had been taking the wrong amount of tax out (they thought I was single, while I am clearly married and providing health insurance to my husband) and I was concerned that too much had been taken out. I hate giving the government a tax free loan when they are hellbent on destroying me and our country through pointless and brutal wars. Anyway, because the tax package hostage negotiation included a reprieve on the AMT (damn, I thought that was just something for really high wage earners!), my taxes are significantly lower than they would have been but unfortunately, I HAVE been giving the government a tax free loan.

Time to change the W-4.

1. Bad as it is to give the gov't free $, it could have been much worse for you!
What if the mistake had been the other way & they weren't taking enough out of your pay soo now YOUR BILL would have been extremely HUGH! With hubby unemployed, that could have been a disaster! Run, don't walk, to your HR dept. tomorrow aand tell them to fix the problem.

2. Ex-husband
Current husband employed at well under his skill level. I'm lucky, so far, as a nurse.
