Maine Tea Party Governor Elect Already Corrupt - Hires Own Daughter - Nepotism?

In a startlingly and blatantly corrupt move the Tea Party backed Governor elect of Maine, Paul LePage (Republican), has hired his own daughter as an assistant to the tune of $41,000 per year. This from a man who pledged to surround himself with "the best and the brightest" and to "avoid political cronyism.”

So at first glance, the "Tea Party" looks like the same old Republican political machine.

1. In 2002, NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg had his sister and his daughter hired to work at City Hall.

However, both positions were unpaid. Marked distinction from this situation.

Anything over minimum is considered a good salary here in the northern hinterlands...

Color me not terribly surprised. This is the land of nepotism. Only way to get a job and keep it is be related to somebody or friends with somebody...
