Someone tell me where the justice is in this situation, where I'm paying taxes on my unemployment compensation, while GE got away without having to pay any taxes.

Sorry, I suppose I should know my place. After all, how are those rich folks and mega-corporations going to create jobs if we make them pay their fair share in taxes? :sarcasm:

2. This is america, invent your own GE & then you won't have to pay
any taxes either. It's the land of opportunity according to the kind of guys that run GE.

4. Money talks and bullshit walks
Since you and I have no money, OBVIOUSLY we have no influence, and should be grateful to the corporations that we haven't been turned into Soylent Green or something.

15. While I agree with your sentiment - a better comparison is to my small business.
After all, you are an individual and GE is a company.

Our company pays 40%+ in taxes every year, yet GE pays Zero.

17. Because you don't matter. You are a citizen.
You cannot buy an elected official. Their corporate lords have too much money for you to matter.
