Sam Seder on Countdown
filling in for KO most of the week.

1st topic, republicans want to allow states to declare bankruptcy, cut off funding to the states, forcing them to declare bankruptcy, then have those states break the union contracts and potentially the unions.

WTF?!!?

5. I hadn't seen the link. Thanks for posting. Disappointed that
it became 'locked'. We may become uncomfortable by what is being said however, 'locking' does nothing other than allowing the discomfort to forment. imho

How can a bankrupt 'corporate' personage take away someone's existing rights ?

"2) The term "employer" includes any person acting as an agent of an employer, directly or indirectly, but shall not include the United States or any wholly owned Government corporation, or any Federal Reserve Bank, or any State or political subdivision thereof, or any person subject to the Railway Labor Act <45 U.S.C. § 151 et seq.>, as amended from time to time, or any labor organization (other than when acting as an employer), or anyone acting in the capacity of officer or agent of such labor organization."

6. This is the REPUBLICAN dream (Image heavy)

No food safety here...

And of course Pinkertons everywehere

And this is the housing they want for you and me

And for the rich this is what they want

In short this is their economic plan... it can also summed by this

Preferably without too many of these (Jackeries, peasant revolts)

And people vote for this since they have been betrayed by the liberal class... (Per Hedges)

9. Darn! We were watching a DVD. Thought I would catch it later.
After the movie, it was all "Lockup" all night! What is the matter with MSNBC? I demand Rachel/Olbermann re-runs all weekend long. I don't have DVR.

10. Welching on mismanaged pensions.
is what this is basically all about.

It'll drive municipal & state bond ratings to worthless. The impact will be devastating.

It'll also raise our non-federal taxes substantially.
