Parker Spitzer
Who likes this show ? I do , I have learned a lot from it I think Elliott is much better than Kathleen , More opinionated , forceful, knowledgeable and
believable. She seems to be just a sidekick also they seem very flirty and sit too close together. I tape it and enjoy Elliotts insights .

1. Watched it last week when they were discussing Assange
Edited on Mon Dec-27-10 09:40 PM by BeyondGeography
Spitzer came off as a much better lawyer than Toobin, whose anti-leaks elitist feelings kept getting in the way. You can see why his star was once so high. It was a very good discussion.

And, yes, Parker is mostly an ornament.

2. I watched them tonight

I was amazed. Strong, intelligent advocacy for single payer health care, based on the argument that our current non-system hurts us competitively abroad. Killer stuff. Put Spitzer in charge of the party's messaging. Edited to ad, Welcome to DU.

4. Yea
been tuning in a lot. Mostly for Spitzer. He really had Obama on the hook a couple weeks ago during the tax-bill thing.

3. She's another Mika Mouse ...
... although a self-proclaimed 'conservative', she's pretty useless in the debate and detail department.

For the record, I :loveya: Elliot Spitzer. He could be reading corn-futures prices and I'd watch him.

5. I've deliberately avoided it
I just can't get past his hypocrisy. He made his reputation busting sex workers.

6. Spitzer was always great on Dylan's show, really helped him get back into the grove
Edited on Mon Dec-27-10 09:56 PM by Vegetarianist
I haven't gotten around to watching much of him here lately though
interesting:
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/08/business/media/08cnn.html

"The tensions spilled into public view last week when the Page Six gossip column in The New York Post said Ms. Parker had stormed off the set in early November. Asked about that claim, Ms. Parker said, “I don’t storm. I saunter.”

She acknowledged that there was some “editorial and political tension,” but cast it as a normal part of television production. “That’s how human beings are made,” she added.

Mr. Spitzer put it this way: “I’ve seen tension in my life — conflict, tension, acrimony — and I haven’t seen anything here that comes close to what I’ve seen.” "

7. Have not seen the show, but check out Client 9
It is a great documentary about Spitzer that really shows how the corporate interests worked behind the scenes to take him down.

9. Just saw it. I've always like Spitzer, now I like him even more.
I hope he winds up tag-team with Elizabeth Warren. That would be excellent.

8. I like it. They seem to get guests who come with interesting insights. It isn't your
run of the mill pundit discussion of events. Plus there are more details in the discussion.

15. Spitzer? You have disgust for him? Because he had sex outside of marriage?
You mean, after all the LIBERAL things he did to help put the bad rightwinger thieves in jail, you look at his willy instead of his accomplishments?

Were you on the "willies are bad" committee when they were taking Clinton down? The man's personal/sex life is his own fucking business. What he does as a public servant is THE PEOPLE's business.

16. It wasn't that he had sex out of marriage that disgusted me -- it was the breaking of the law
Edited on Tue Dec-28-10 12:39 AM by aikoaiko
But I could forgive him for that.

When I saw this article by him, I realized he was a scumbag politician who would do anything to get around the law of the land to achieve personal goals.

13. I like the fact that it
Edited on Mon Dec-27-10 11:22 PM by mr_liberal
shows both sides and has a debate, unlike Fox News or MSNBC,

Kathleen Parker has complained abotu not getting enough time. But I think the problem is that she's just not the kind of person that can speak up and get into arguments. Her personality is too low key; she's too nice.

I also like the last part of the show where they have "The Party".

I don't always watch it, mostly I watch Olbermann, but I watch it sometimes, and thats more than I can say for ... whatever was on at 8:00 on CNN before.
