Economic Rebound Forecasted for 2011
This article, published in the Seattle Times on Dec. 25, was about the nicest Christmas present I got this year. Let's hope this guy is correct in his assessment:

1. I guess you missed this
BY TESS STYNES AND KATHLEEN MADIGAN
U.S. home prices declined in October from a month earlier, according to the S&P Case-Shiller home-price indexes, while its 10-city index and just four major markets showed year-to-year increases.

The year-to-year increases were seen in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and Washington. While composite prices remain above their spring 2009 lows, six markets hit their lowest levels since home prices began dropping in 2006 and 2007: Atlanta, Charlotte, N.C., Portland, Ore., Miami, Seattle and Tampa, Fla.

3. Didn't you get the memo about not posting positive economic news on DU??
It never goes over well. Nothing brings in the chicken-little crazies around here like the economy improving.

Thanks for the article though.

4. Yup, and the recovery began in 2009. These people
are deluding themselves with wishful thinking. Home prices are a reflection on the overall job's market, and with all the good jobs gone overseas or off-shored, neither jobs nor homes will be bouncing back soon. So where does that leave the economy??? In the toilet, despite what "economists" want to believe. Fix those areas, and then we can talk "recovery".
